This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and similar technologies ChartNova uses on chartnova.app, what each one does, and how you can control them. It complements our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle your personal data more broadly.

Cookies We Actually Use

We keep our cookie use to the minimum required to run the Service. The list below is exhaustive.

Strictly Necessary (cannot be disabled)

These cookies are required for the Service to function. If you block them, core features will break.

Authentication session — keeps you signed in after you log in. Expires when your session ends or when you sign out.
Security tokens — protect against cross-site request forgery (CSRF) and other attacks on form submissions.

These cookies do not track you across other sites.

Functional (remember your preferences)

These cookies remember your choices so the site behaves the way you set it.

Theme preference — remembers whether you chose light or dark mode, and your accent color.
Language preference — remembers the locale (English, Français, Español, Deutsch) you last selected.
Interface state — remembers small UI choices such as whether your sidebar is collapsed.

Blocking these is fine — the site still works, but your preferences will reset on every visit.

Third-Party Cookies We Rely On

We use a small number of third-party services that set their own cookies. We only involve them when you actually use the feature they power.

Stripe — our payment processor. Stripe sets cookies on its own checkout pages when you purchase a Pro subscription or a single report. These cookies handle the payment flow and fraud prevention. See Stripe's cookie notice for details.
Affiliate attribution — if you arrive at ChartNova through a referral link, a small attribution cookie is set (valid 30 days) so we can credit the referring partner if you subscribe. This is the only marketing-purpose cookie we use.

We do not share the contents of these cookies with advertisers.

Cookies We Do NOT Use

To be explicit, ChartNova does not currently use:

Advertising or ad-retargeting cookies
Social-media tracking pixels (Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, etc.)
Cross-site behavioral profiling cookies
Data-broker or audience-selling cookies

If we ever add analytics, performance monitoring, or any new category, we will update this page and — where required by law — ask for your consent before setting them.
